running apps with no installers on Linux with Wine - winetricks

I wrote about my GL_warp2Avi tool,

Currently it is written using many Windows-only libraries like MFC and so on. Would need a complete re-write to make it compile on other platforms. Wine is a possibility. 

For running it under Wine, you will first need to install libraries using winetricks,http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks 

(When I try running it under Linux with Wine, it seems to crash when initializing the output avi file.)
