Filelink with Thunderbird

Copy-pasting from an email exchange with PB

I tried the filelink feature in Thunderbird with the "Send Server" .... It worked once and then kept failing after that. Having Google drive work with Thunderbird to send large attachments as a link would have been the ideal solution.Have you used any other method to send large attachments in a mail client?

Looking at the FileLink Send provider,
it says that Firefox Send was discontinued by Mozilla, and is now just "Send" and maintained by someone else.
The url to the send server has also changed.

Maybe if you re-install the Send plugin with the latest send provider as given on the link above (send.vis.ee), it might work.

Another option, of course, would be for the user to directly go to
to send the files, or

Edit - thinking again of this issue, it might have been some sort of Firewall issue which caused the feature to work once and fail after that. The internet connection goes through a Sophos Firewall device (or something similar) with IPS (Intrusion Prevention System).
