Thought I would reinstall the OS with the latest version. Via duck search ai, identified the board - "The Raspberry Pi Model B (2011-era board) has a yellow RCA composite video connector and a full-size SD card slot."
After reinstalling, "To set your Raspberry Pi Model B to use composite video output by default, you need to edit the /boot/config.txt file and add the line hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1 to disable HDMI output. Additionally, set the video mode by adding sdtv_mode=2 for PAL or sdtv_mode=0 for NTSC, then reboot the device. This will ensure that the composite output is used as the default display."
Still didn't work.
Tried with HDMI, then came to configuration screen after 2-3 minutes.
But saving the locale took more than 5 minutes?
So, trying sdcard integrity with f3
f3write: Can't create file ./1.h2w: Permission denied
so
sudo f3write /media/sssvv/rootfs/
1 hour 35 minutes or so shown to write to the ~52 GB free.
Creating file 16.h2w ... OK! Avg: 9.20 MB/s
Min: 4.85 MB/s, Max: 12.88 MB/s, 100 samples
Creating file 17.h2w ... OK! Avg: 9.30 MB/s
Min: 4.89 MB/s, Max: 13.01 MB/s, 100 samples
Creating file 18.h2w ... 33.08% -- 9.04 MB/s -- 1:04:43

Creating file 53.h2w ... OK! Avg: 8.32 MB/s
Min: 4.24 MB/s, Max: 12.81 MB/s, 35 samples
Free space: 16.00 MB
Average sequential write speed: 9.19 MB/s (109773304 sectors / 1:37:13)
The files are seen in the root directory of /media/sssvv/rootfs/ and could be deleted after the test.
But after reinstall with latest rpi legacy image of 2025, various issues like taking a long time to boot, video out not working even after sudo raspi-config set to video out enabled, etc (using HDMI output)
Instead, just cloning from the working sdcard on the other raspberry pi.
Instead of exactly the same commands, increased block size (and used pigz, which might be irrelevant) to make it faster.
sudo dd if=/dev/sdc bs=16M status=progress | pigz -c > waitingvideos.image.gz
